Kamehameha Day Parade in Hawi. A floral parade is held annually at various locations throughout the state of Hawaii. The floral parade, held every year in June to honor the memory of King Kamehameha, is the longest parade in Hawaii. The King Kamehameha Day Parade took place in Kailua Village with lots of horses and some hula floats. Kamehameha Day Parade featured prominent figures from the Hawaiian community, including descendants of Hawaiian royalty. 2012 Kamehameha Day Parade- Alumni Performers. Leabert Lindsey was asked to be grand marshal of this year's King Kamehameha Day Celebration. Hundreds of folks made the trek to Kohala on Monday to pay tribute to the monarch who united the Hawaiian islands – King Kamehameha.
